FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are some frequently asked questions: Feel free to let us know if you need more specific information on any of these questions!

1. What are the key differences between Montessori and Traditional school systems?

Our Montessori program embraces a child-centered educational approach rooted in the Montessori Method, which is based on scientific observations of children’s learning processes.  In contrast, traditional schools typically follow an adult-led instructional model.  Our classrooms prioritize independent learning guided by the child, utilizing a carefully prepared environment known as the “third teacher.”  Unlike traditional classrooms, where group learning is common, our focus is on individualized learning tailored to each child’s pace.  We also foster multi-age groupings to encourage peer learning and mentorship among students.  Additionally, our three-hour cycles of uninterrupted learning support concentration and deep engagement with activities.  Our teachers, regarded as guides, observe and facilitate children’s exploration, fostering independence and self-directed learning.

2. Do you offer part-time or half-day programs?

While our primary offerings consist of full-day programs, we do provide options for 2 and 3-day attendance schedules.  Unfortunately, we do not offer half-day programs at this time.

3. Are before and after care programs available?

Yes, we offer both before and after care programs to accommodate families’ schedules.  Our before care program operates from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and our after care program runs from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

4. Do you provide after school clubs?

Certainly!  We offer a variety of after-school clubs, including art, yoga, dance, and more, to enrich our students’ learning experiences beyond the classroom.

5. Are field trips organized for students?

Yes, field trips are arranged for our Pre-school (CASA) program children at least twice a year, providing valuable hands-on learning opportunities.

6. What are the student/teacher ratios?

To ensure personalized attention and support, we maintain low student-to-teacher ratios of 1:5 for Toddler Children, 1:8 for Casa Children, and 1:13 for Kindergarten Children.

7. Do you have specialty teachers for subjects like French, Music, or Art?

While our classroom teachers incorporate music into the curriculum, we also offer specialized programs in music and other areas as after-school clubs.  French programs are provided on a weekly basis.

8. What are the qualifications of your staff?
