OUR KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM IS TAILORED FOR CHILDREN AGED BETWEEN
44 months up to 7 years.
Young children under six exhibit a remarkable capacity and eagerness to absorb knowledge from their environment. We firmly believe in harnessing this sensitive period through our series of JK/SK programs, which emphasize multi-sensory learning approaches.
Through providing diverse stimuli and allowing children the liberty to follow their own educational interests, we facilitate the discovery and pursuit of the optimal path for personal and social development. While our educational philosophy adopts a holistic approach, our curriculum is composed of several distinct components.
THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
PRACTICAL LIFE
The Practical Life exercises are engaging and purposeful activities that closely resemble real-life tasks, inviting children to participate with enthusiasm. Beyond instilling self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment, these activities follow a simple, clear, and brief cycle, yielding prompt results. Through such exercises, children cultivate independence, concentration, and hand-eye coordination. Specially designed for tiny hands, Practical Life materials serve as invitations for toddlers to engage in tasks like spooning, pouring, dusting, sweeping, buttoning, and zipping.
SENSORIAL
The sensorial materials offer children opportunities to hone all five senses. These activities utilize specially crafted materials, tailored to the children’s age, to refine their senses and nurture skill development.
LANGUAGE
The Toddler Program prioritizes English language development through verbal communication, emphasizing comprehension and usage. Teachers actively guide children in their interactions with others, encouraging dialogue to expand their language abilities. Through frequent socialization with peers, children have numerous opportunities to enhance their language skills through conversation.
MATH
In this setting, tangible materials are employed to initiate the understanding of diverse mathematical concepts. Initially, children engage with numerical quantities, which gradually guides them into comprehending the decimal system. Additionally, they are introduced to the fundamental four mathematical operations, marking the outset of memorizing mathematical facts.
CULTURE
Cultural activities and exercises are designed to cultivate a child’s comprehension of the world and their role within it. This domain provides opportunities for exploration in history, geography, botany, zoology, and science, nurturing a holistic understanding of various aspects of our environment and society.
SAFETY
SELF-CARE IS A FUNDAMENTAL ASPECT OF THE MONTESSORI ETHOS, WOVEN INTO THE FABRIC OF OUR EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT.
From the vibrant spaces of our Young Children’s Community to the nurturing atmospheres of our Casa Classrooms, we prioritize the provision of abundant supplies to support hygiene rituals and encourage proper hand washing. This commitment fosters a sense of responsibility and autonomy in our students, empowering them to take charge of their well-being from an early age.
Within each classroom, a comprehensive array of resources is meticulously curated to reinforce the importance of self-care. Through this proactive approach, we cultivate habits that promote health and hygiene, laying a strong foundation for lifelong wellness. Our dedication to equipping students with the tools they need for self-care reflects our holistic approach to education, ensuring that every aspect of their development is nurtured with care and intention. Daily cleaning routines involve sanitizing objects and hard surfaces using child-safe disinfectant cleaners.
